Revelation 1: 7-8

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds , and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Yes , amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega , the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord , who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

In these short verses full of information we see our Lord as expected , because this book is the revelation of Jesus Christ in the magnificence of his glory and the spotlight is his person.

Here we see the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the revelation of his glory.
When John wrote those two words : “Behold ,” is written with the purpose of drawing wide attention from readers. It is as if today were. “Look ” or ” treats ” or “Notice ” Any word that makes us put aside whatever we have been doing or thinking and make us concentrate on the subject you want to communicate .
What John wants to communicate is something great. Everything has to do with the return of Jesus Christ. But why he is pulling for a return ? Because Jesus Christ came the first time for about two thousand years ago. His first coming was in humiliation. He came to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world . As Lamb was slain and his blood washed us from our sin . But he was not in a tomb but rose again the third day from the dead . Having conquered death was promoted to glory he shared with his Father from eternity past . While his disciples looked stunned his departure, two men in white robes stood by them and said, Ye men of Galilee , why stand ye gazing up into heaven ? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven , shall so come as you saw him go into heaven. This is a promise that all believers long to see fulfilled. Truly will be fulfilled at the time appointed by God. Will the return of Jesus Christ . It is this event that John tells us in Revelation. John says that Jesus Christ will come with clouds . When he was , he was raised and a cloud received Him out of the eyes of his disciples. When he comes again , will also come with the clouds. But these clouds will not be ordinary clouds . Notice what Daniel 7:13 says “I saw in the night visions , and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man” is clouds of heaven , not of ordinary clouds . These clouds in the sky are clouds of glory .

In the Old Testament, God was manifest in a glowing light, which means the call Shekinah cloud of glory . Nobody could see this cloud the eye and stay alive , so they needed a veil to cover her. But when Jesus Christ returns to earth this cloud of Shekinah glory or will be fully visible. Also John says that every eye will see Him . The second coming of Jesus Christ will not be a secret. It will be in the public domain . Every eye shall see him . Every eye will perceive his coming worldwide . Those who see the second coming of Christ are those who pierced him : and all kindreds of the earth. Those who pierced him does not refer to the Roman soldiers who nailed Jesus to the cross where he was crucified . It is a reference to the nation of Israel. Nation rejected and eventually led to the cross Jesus Christ in his first coming.
The text read will wail he says. The book of the prophet Zechariah speaks of reason to lament the people of Israel. Zechariah 12:10 says, ” And I will pour upon the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced , and mourn as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for him as one grieves for a firstborn . ” cry of repentance because Israel recognized that the One who was crucified for them is the true Christ , the Messiah , the eternal King of Israel . This repentance will lead many Jews to a reconciliation with Jesus Christ. The tribes of the earth mourn loudly but not repenting terror that produce them come to know that Jesus Christ shed His judgment upon them. But what will happen to the believers who are alive when Jesus comes again ? Well, they be saying : Yes , amen. Come Lord Jesus.
After talk of the return of Jesus Christ, John speaks of the revelation of the glory of Jesus Christ.
This is one of the most beautiful descriptions of the person of Jesus Christ. He is the Alpha and the Omega . Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet . The alphabet is an ingenious way to store and disseminate knowledge . The letters of the alphabet in any language serve to publicize everything you want and to communicate everything you want. Jesus Christ is the supreme and sovereign alphabet. Nothing escapes their attention. So his second coming, as has already been described , is made ​​absolutely secure . Furthermore, Jesus Christ is the beginning and end. Time has no effect counterproductive for him . He is the same at first, no matter how distant in the past eternity want to locate the beginning .
He is the same in the end, no matter how distant in eternity future we want to place the order . In other words Jesus Christ is eternal. Also Jesus Christ is the one who is and who was and who is to come . Jesus Christ is the one that exists in itself. The I am that I am. Finally Jesus Christ is presented as the Almighty. This means you have supreme power. Nothing and no one is more powerful than him. Nothing is impossible for him. You can do everything in accordance with his character. There is no power in the world or out of the world that can clog your purposes. Watching the glory of his person , motivates us to say with John : To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever . Amen .
