Revelation 4:8-11

7 And the first beast was like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third had a face like a man , and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle. 8 And the four living creatures , each having six wings , were full of eyes around and within , and day and night ceased not say, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY , WHO WAS , and which is to come . 9 And whenever the living creatures give glory , honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne , who liveth for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship Him who lives forever and ever , and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 thou art worthy , O Lord our God , to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they exist and were created .

The first was like a lion . This denotes power and strength. 

The second was like a calf . This denotes service in humility. 

The cherubim are to serve God . 

The third had a face like a man . This denotes that living beings are rational intellect , emotions and will , like the man . 

The fourth was like a flying eagle. This denotes agility to fulfill the will of God. 

Each of these living beings had six wings around , and within being full of eyes. Rounding all this, we would say that God’s throne was surrounded by cherubs able to thoroughly examine what was going on , whose purpose was to keep the holiness in heaven. These cherubim were strong and vigorous as the lion, dedicated exclusively to serve in humility as a calf , capable of thinking, feeling and acting with free will , as man and always ready to act swiftly in obedience to God’s will . -4- The – living beings

It is difficult to get an idea of ​​what they looked like these living beings. Being full of eyes in front , behind, around and inside reminds us that nothing escapes his gaze searchingly . These living beings are not omniscient , because only God has this attribute , but they are certainly aware of everything happening around the throne of God. But who are these beasts ? A comparison of these living beings with which both Ezekiel and Isaiah saw in vision, helps us to identify these living beings. These cherubim , who are dealing angelic order to keep the holiness of God. His presence around the throne of God guarantees the absolute holiness of heaven. But note that every living thing had its particularity.

This is the praise of the four living creatures . How often praising God ? The text says no rest day or night ” That explains it incessantly, day and night are dedicated to praising God. Praise for the elderly. This should be something spectacular. As soon as the four living beings recognize praise the magnificence and eternity of God and also express their thanksgiving to Him who sits on the throne, the elders begin to descend from their thrones and join this praise and cast their crowns before the throne.  Then fall down before him who sits on the throne, and casting their crowns before the throne while singing this hymn , ” Lord, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things , and for thy will they exist and were created “. This is repeated constantly , because the four living creatures , night and day , unceasingly render praise to God. Remember that the elders represent the church in his glorified state in heaven . We can therefore say that it is the church who all day and night, unceasingly render praise to God in the way that has been described .

We also see the song of the elders 24 elders praising Mr. recognize the magnificence of God when he says : Lord , You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power. But here’s something new . The song emphasizes God as creator . For You created all things , and for thy pleasure they are and were created . In Revelation 5:9-10 the living creatures and the elders came together to praise God for his redemption through the blood of Christ , because even the creation is redeemed through the cross . In Revelation 11:16-19 alban heaven God because He is the judge who justly punish the world for its sins.

The stage is set , has led the church to heaven, the Lord is on the throne and praise the heavens and hope the outpouring of His wrath . Interestingly, the name of God used here is < Lord God Almighty > ( 4.8)

Time to take dominion of creation has come . So the church will be praising God as creator. If you are a child of God , you will some day , praising God without ceasing, night and day. You better start now then revel in the praise of God. Amen
